The Krythe are one of the three Alakubu tribes on the isle of Soqwai. The Krythe dominate the southern third of the isle of Soqwai. The Krythe are on good terms with the Firotha and trade with them regularly. However, the Draed send war parties to raid frequently.
By outsiders, the Krythe tribe are seen as the most civilized and friendliest of the tribes. Peaceful contact and trade has been done with them on numerous occasions. Some ship captains have visited the Krythe on numerous occasions and are known to them. The Krythe are generally peaceful and fight only to defend themselves against the attacks of other tribes.
The Krythe build extensively with basalt rock. They build their homes with walls made of fitted basalt rocks. They build roads of crushed basalt that connect their villages. Each village has a central plaza that is tiled with tight fighting basalt bricks. Stone carvings and small statues are a common artform.
The Krythe use carts to transport people and goods between their villages and chariots in war. They have developed writing and keep records on vellum scrolls. They have also developed the recurved bow and are excellent archers.
The Krythe do not use tarska and consider it taboo.
